The Ashburton Community Centre is staffed from 9am – 2.30pm Monday – Friday (excluding Public Holidays)

Our Tutors

We pride ourselves on the quality and professionalism of the tutors who facilitate the courses, workshops and events. The Ashburton Community Centre works with tutors from diverse backgrounds, many of whom are professional artists, instructors and teachers with national and international recognition and awards.

Over 80 individual courses and workshops have been offered at the Centre, delivered by our amazing tutors throughout the year. Some of our tutors are new and others have been with the Centre since it’s inception in the 1980’s. We have over 150 years of collective experience at the Centre!

We would like to acknowledge our long standing tutors: Jennifer Biggin, Norma Turner, Mary Thow, Ulla Jones and Alan Rawady who have all been involved at the Centre for up between 25 to 30 years.
