Women’s Group Ideas Session
Hello! The Ashburton Community Centre (ACC) would like to offer more opportunities for women to connect. We want to hear from you, so we’ve organised a meet up where we can discuss what your dream women’s groups would look like. We already have some ideas but are keen to hear your thoughts on what we can create with you and for you. Please come along, meet other women, and help build your community!
IDEA 1 – WOMEN’S MEET UP GROUP IDEA
Fox Woods, initiator of another successful women’s meet up group, is keen to start a new local group. In this group we could meet monthly to talk and learn about topics that interest us and we’ll be guided by you for new topics. We’re all about women supporting women, building friendships and encouraging personal growth along the way. You don’t have to feel awkward and make small talk – we’re planning the sessions so that won’t happen. We want you to love this group!
IDEA 2 – WOMEN’S YOGA CLASS
Laura Goldstraw from Zala Heart Yoga is currently one of our yoga class instructors and would love to talk to you about a yoga and mindfulness class for women who are searching for a supportive movement class. We’d love to hear the type of class you’d like to participate in, so come along and help us shape this new class.
IDEA 3 – WOMEN’S BOOK GROUP
The Centre is keen to start a new book group. Let’s meet monthly to recommend and talk about page-turners! We can do fiction (have you read The Power by Naomi Alderman? – gripping, except for the ending!) and non-fiction (like the new book by the founder of kikki.K, Your Dream Life Starts Here) and anything else that’s been highly recommended. Come join other women who love great books!
We are keen to to hear other ideas too! There will be plenty of time to chat about ideas on the night. Can’t make it? Email us your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org
