Important Notice – ACC closed from Friday March 20

This is an important update about the Ashburton Community Centre’s response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

With our priority being the wellbeing of our members, tutors, volunteers and staff we will be closing the Centre from the end of business this Friday March 20, with the view to re-open for Term 2 a week later than planned on Monday April 20.

Due to the rapidly changing situation we do not wish to put our valuable community at risk and believe that voluntarily closing the Centre during this period is the only socially responsible decision.

If you have chosen to self-isolate, are unwell, or do not feel comfortable attending classes this week, please get in contact with our Centre to organise a refund for your class.

All members that are enrolled into classes scheduled to run next week will receive a refund for their cancelled class.

Please also note that we have cancelled Ashburton Handcrafted (March 28), Foreign Film (April 1) and Family Flicks (April 9).

At this stage we are hopeful that we will be able to run some, or all of our regular activities for Term 2 from April 20 and will be sending through updates closer to the date.

The doors to the Centre will remain closed over this period, but office staff will be available via email and phone during our usual hours of 9am – 2.30pm weekdays.
