Seeking new Committee of Management Members

September 30, 2019

From our Vice-President…

We invite you to join our Committee of Management (CoM)

As a not-for-profit organisation we are governed by a volunteer committee who are members of the local community, Centre participants and interested persons who wish to have an input into the policy and direction of the Centre. The day-to-day management of the Centre is delegated to the Executive Officer (Rachel Morley) and paid staff members.

We would love to hear from those in our membership and in our local community, who would be interested in joining our Committee. We need a cross-section of the community of different backgrounds, ages and gender including those who are employed, retired or not in the work force.

Our meetings are currently held once a month on a Wednesday evening, starting at 6.30pm.  They usually run for around 2 hours.  Additional time may be required to act on sub-committees or respond to issues that may arise during the month. The City of Boroondara and other community organisations provide training at no cost throughout the year for Committee members on their roles and responsibilities.

Our CoM shares a commitment to building a better community through our Centre – we encourage you all to consider sharing your skills and experience and support our Centre in achieving its mission “To connect and engage with our community and respond to their needs”.  A strong representative committee is vital for us to comply with our mission and responsibilities.

Being a Committee member is a rewarding role and a wonderful way to give back to the community and its Centre.

To apply to be a member, please fill in the Expression of Interest Form Expression of Interest Form and email it through to our Vice President, Rhondda King at rhondda.king@eastham.com.au

If you would like to find out more about this role please contact us at office@ashburtoncc.org.au or contact Rhondda King, Vice-President at rhondda.king@eastham.com.au or by phone 0413 646 913.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Rhondda King
